Ronald Russell's arrival into Canada Ron Russell left London, England aboard the Cunard Lines RMS Ausonia on May 21, 1926, and arrived in Quebec, Canada on May 30, 1926, at the age of 15. He was on his way to Powell River, B.C.. Powell River was chosen as a great place for Ron to play football (soccer). His aunt Jean (Hunter Family) and her husband Jack Drury had moved to Powell River sometime c 1919. On the Canadian Immigration form, John Drury's address was given as 801 Maple Ave., Powell River, B.C., and his mother's address as 75 Bexhill Rd., Crofton Park, London. His intended occupation was listed as "clerk" in "Paper Mills". He was also listed as a "Landed Immigrant".
