  • Notes
    • Occupation: minister.
Sept 1906 emigrated to Canada. Had ministry in McTaggett, Sask.
1914 returned to Scotland with wife. Traveled back and forth betweenScotland/England and Canada. Settled in Canada.

My grandfather came to Canada 1906 ( missionary going to Winnipeg), 1914 (with Ruby and Jean to Toronto) and 1924 (Rev. James Scobie and Mrs. Scobie, actually his mother but her age is wrong)... I was sure that my grandfather only made 3 trips as he was very seasick. In Sept 1914 my grandmother was expecting my aunt Mildred born in Dec and she had a wonderful voyage!.. Both aunt Jean and aunt Mildred's marriages were announced in the St Thomas paper yet I know they were both married at Wilton Grove south of London as was my mother. I can only assume that uncle David and aunt Molly lived in St. Thomas. - Jane Thomas
